Effect Controls

Let’s start by choosing a color. Beneath you can adjust the reds, greens and blues so you can get the exact color you want. After altering the color you can adjust the brightness and pixelation sliders. Next go on to the Effect Controls section. Begin by adjusting the overall scale of your media. You then have the option of flipping your media vertical or horizontal by clicking the designated checkboxes. Underneath you have a frame rate and position randomize slider. The Frame Rate slider controls the speed of the position randomize slider. Adjusting the position randomize slider will move your image to different areas on the screen. The more you move the Frame Rate Slider and Position Randomize slider to the right the more chaotic your image will move. Lastly click the generate button to randomize the position randomize slider.

Adjust the opacity accordingly. Repeat these steps for each DV Distortion media clip you place in the timeline. If you want to add to adjustments you have already made you can add the refraction preset. Click and drag the preset onto your original media. Begin by adjusting the refraction and softness slider. Next you can add media in the drop zone. Select the icon then choose the media you want to go in the drop zone.
