ProDrop: Particles comes packed with content. In this package users will receive particle emitting presets in a variety of animation styles. Users can choose between presets with small, or large circle particles or opt to use hexagonal particles instead. Each preset has a unique style and are fully customizable so that users can achieve any look using ProDrop: Particles.

Adjustable Flare Settings

All particle presets in ProDrop: Particles include a completely customizable flare source. Users can change the size and color of the source as well as the brightness and the offset of streaks. Streaks can individually be adjusted using 4 intuitive sliders so that users have full control over their flares. ProDrop: Particles also includes unique light ray backdrops sans particles.

Change the Orientation

ProDrop: Particles comes with two types of orientation controls. The majority of presets in this package include a drop-down menu with a list of unique sides, or angles particles can emit from. Using this menu, editing is easier than ever. Moreover, presets with centered particles include on-screen-controls so that users may place them anywhere throughout the scene.

Easy-to-Use Inside Final Cut Pro X

Using ProDrop: Particles is as simple as dragging and dropping generators into the FCPX timeline. Resize and adjust parameters in the Inspector window using intuitive sliders, drop-down menus and dials. Freely shrink and stretch generators to the desired length and then adjust the speed attribute to account for new timing. STEP 1 - Preparing the Timeline

Let’s begin by locating ProDrop: Particles in the Generator Library. There are over 40 authentic presets to choose from, Each one is fully customizable so pick a preset that stands out to you. For this example we will be using the Attracted to Source preset. Drag the preset to your timeline. Select the preset and go to the Inspector Window. First start by adjusting the position of the backdrop. Once you have the backdrop position set move on to the Particle Controls section.

STEP 2 - Particle Controls

Begin by changing the color of your particles. After selecting a color you can start adjusting the brightness, radius, amount, and scale. The more you move the radius slider to the left the more bunched up they will become. When you move the slider to the right the particles will spread out from the center. Once you have adjusted those sliders you can then adjust the speed at which the particles will be flying outwards. Next alter the vortex strength and turbulence. The Vortex Strength slider sucks all the particles in. For example moving the slider to the left will have less strength on the particles, but moving the slider right will increase the strength and it will influence the particles inwards. The Turbulence effects the movement of the particles. Click the generate button to cycle through new sets of particles.

STEP 3 - Flare Controls

Next is the Flare Controls. Begin by selecting a color, Then adjust the brightness, size, offset and speed. After making those changes go on to adjusting the streaks sliders.

STEP 4 - Style Controls

Now let’s adjust our Style Controls. Choose a color for the background by clicking the colored square on the bottom of the bar. There are red, green, and blue sliders along with an opacity slider so you can get the exact color you want. Underneath you have an interpolation option and a location slider. The location slider will allow you to control the amount of each color that you want to show in your background. Next you have the option of changing the type of your color between linear and radial. After choosing a type you can keyframe where the color type starts and ends.
