Preparing The Timeline
Let’s begin by selecting our media from the FCPX media library.
Then Locate ProMorphic in the FCPX Effects library.
Browse through the ProMorphic presets.
For this example we will be using the horizontal ProMorphic 20 preset.
Click and drag the effect directly on top of your media.
Select your media and go to the Inspector Window.
Let’s start by adjusting the over drive color additive slider.
This slider will mix your the colors that are present on screen.
For example moving the slider to the left will make the flares color brown, purple and blue.
Moving the slider all the way to the right will give your flares a blue and a green color.
Next you adjust the left streak length.
After you can begin adjusting the spectrum selection slider.
The Spectrum Section slider will expand and intensify your flare.
Continue on by adjusting the twist light and softness slider.
The Volumetric Diffusion slider will spread the flare across the screen covering a larger portion of your media.
Underneath you can adjust the saturation, intensity, left opacity and streak hue.
Once you have the all the left anamorphic controls set you can then continue adjusting the right anamorphic flare controls.
The controls function the same as the previous controls.
After you have adjusted the right anamorphic flare controls you can then select different colors for the dark, mid and light tint color controls.

Where do I find ProMorphic?
Once the installation is complete, you can find ProMorphic in the FCPX effects library.
I am getting a Red Screen with a Yellow Exclamation Point, how is this fixed?
This usually occurs due to either an Installation error, or its just that your FCPX version is out of date. You can upgrade, its simple and usually free in the Apple App Store. If your operating system is out of date, that may need to be updated first, in order to update the other relying software.
What Version of FCPX does this require?
You will need to make sure your version of the software is updated to at least version 10.2.1, and this may require an OS update, which should be available for free in the App Store.
