Tips for ProDVD!

We recommend exporting/saving the current frame option for each of your image templates (Cover, Book, and Disc) instead of inserting the generators directly into the Keyframable and Keyframeless presets. These images can then be dragged back into your timeline and applied to the preset.

Troubleshooting ProDVD

I Installed my ProDVD plugin but I see a large letter instead of my DVD / DVD Case, did I miss a step?

In this situation, it means the font file that comes with the plugin was not installed. Close down FCPX, and check in the plugin download folder that was downloaded from your fulfillment email for a font file (.ttf or .rtf) and simply double-click it to install. Then re-open FCPX and your plugin should appear the way it was advertised.

My computer seems really slow when using this plugin, Can i do anything to prevent this?

Some of our plugins do heavily rely on your computers GPU or Video Card. In order to utilize full functionality of the plugin, a higher-end GPU may be required for the computer to function efficiently.  In most cases, what you can do is clear your FCPX render files, and disable the background render in your FCPX preferences. Those two settings along will drastically speed up the workflow within FCPX.  If this does not work, contact us.

How Do I make my DVD Label and DVD Cover? Is external Software Required?

With ProDVD, templates for making all the covers and cd label are included in the download folder, but however would require PhotoShop to make them. This plugin was built this way to give the user more creative control on how to display their DVD using the plugin.
