ProTube Outro Tutorial for Final Cut Pro X

Step 1 - Preparing the Timeline

Let’s begin by locating ProTube Outro in the FCPX Title Library. Browse through the ProTube Outro Presets. For this example we will be choosing a preset with 2 videos. Click and drag the preset onto your timeline. The adjustment layer can be as long or as short as you need it to be. Simply click and drag the end of the adjustment layer to control how long it will stay on screen. Once you have the timing down go up to the inspector window.

Step 2 - Video Controls

First you will notice the Editable checkbox. When checked on you will be able to double click on the text in the viewer and alter it. After you have made the necessary text adjustments turn of the editable checkbox before rendering. You can also position, rotate, and scale each video thumbnail along with the icons represented using the on-screen controls in the viewer window.

In the Main Video Controls section you will be making adjustments to the first video box. Users are able to control the boarding color, width, roundness, and cropping. Next you will fill the drop zone with your media. Then adjust the position, rotation and scale. Underneath is the Small Video Controls which have the same controls and functions as the Main Video Controls.

Step 3 - Social Media Controls

Now lets move onto the Social Media Controls. First you will see the option to arrange your media icons in a vertical orientation. If you do not want that option then leave it unchecked. Below is all the social media icons you can choose to show. Turn them on or off by simple clicking the checkbox next to each icon. By having the editable check box enabled you will be able to double click the text next to the social media icons and alter the text accordingly. Next you can adjust the spread, border color, and border width. Lastly you can control the position, rotation and scale of the social media icons. Once you have the Social Media Controls Set go on down to the Subscribe button controls. You have the option to keep it on or off. If kept on, You can adjust the border color, border width, position, rotation and scale.

Final Touches

Now for some Final Touches. In the Logo Controls section users can add their own logo by dropping it in the drop zone. Alter opacity, position, rotation and scale to represent your logo in the best way possible. Last is the drop shadow controls which will affect the entire protube preset.
