Title Layer Troubleshooting

Is your title layer plugin affecting all the media below it? Watch this video for a quick guide!

In Final Cut Pro, title adjustment layers have the ability to affect all media below the layer in the timeline. Depending on which plugin you are using, you will either want to compound the title adjustment layer by itself or compound it together with one or more media layers below. To make a compound, select the layer or layers you wish to compound and press Option G on your keyboard or right click and select New Compound Clip. You will be prompted to name your compound clip and select the event you want it to save into. Then press OK.

In the case where you have media within the compound below the title layer, that media will still be affected by the title layer; however, any media below the compound layer will not be affected.
