Where do I find this Plugin Inside FCPX?

Why can't I get the timer/countdown to fit the length I have the adjustment layer in the timeline?

.

The timers in FCPX are built to display in real time. For example, if you have a 30 second timer in the timeline the adjustment layer must be 30 seconds long in the timeline. If you only have the timer layer adjusted to be on screen for 25 seconds then only 25 out of 30 seconds will be displayed on the timer.

How can I have a longer timer/countdown in a shorter duration?

.

Say you want to display a 5 minute timer but want to show the timer completing within 30 seconds. To do this you must create the timer layer by extending the adjustment layer to 5 minutes in length in the timeline and adjust the timer to be 5 minutes in the Timer Controls (In Seconds). Once all adjustments are made compound the timer layer and apply a custom speed. You can then speed it up in the timeline so the timer displays the full 5 minutes in a 30 second period.

Why is the fill animation not in sync with the timer?

.

Under the shape controls change the Animation Curve control to Constant. This will make the animation play in sync with the timer.

Why are the numbers on the timer moving?

.

This is actually normal depending on the font. If you want the timers to stay still you will want to use fixed-space (monospace) fonts. Using the monospace fonts the numbers will stay in place when counting.

Examples of default monospace fonts: Monaco, Menlo, Courier, Courier New, Andale Mono
