Height Map Brush Tools
FCPX Photo Depth includes the latest version of Pixel Film Studios in-house height map brush tool. Now with improved functionality and stability, users can draw height maps on-screen better than ever before. The improved brush tool includes new features such as precise point adjustment, and the ability to fill in any stroke’s outline. FCPX Photo Depth’s height map tools also include the newest version of the camera tool. You can even add pulsing and oscillating animations to your photos to push the 3D effect further. Creating amazing 3D photos in Final Cut Pro X is easier than ever.
Create a Blur Map
Add realistic blur effects to your media using the Blur Map Tool. Just apply the effect to your original media and add a height map image to the drop zone. Then use darks and lights of the height map to determine what is in focus and what is out of focus. You can make adjustments to the Depth of Field amount and the softness of the blur.
Adjust Multiple Layers in 3D Space
Create dynamic parallax photos using the included multi cut-out depth tools in FCPX Photo Depth. You can use either built-in the brush tool or the built-in masking tool to create up to 3 cut-outs in your photo and shift their positions and rotations in 3D space to create a parallax effect. You can even add distortion to each layer to further push the 3D effect. Take your project to the next level in creativity and professionalism with multi cut-out depth tools.
Duplicate Cut-Outs to Create Depth
Cut out a portion of any image and duplicate it forward or backwards in 3D space using the FCPX Photo Depth’s Replicator Tools. These tools also come with options to create your cut-out using a mask or with the built-in brush tool. Once you have your cut-out just adjust the extrusion angle, the amount of depth, the number of duplications and more to edit your scene to perfection. Then, use the camera tool to easily move your photo in 3D space.
