To keep a single drawing on screen for a longer duration you can set the frame duration in the published controls or drag the end of the layer in the brush editor's timeline to the desired length.
The plugin preset should be at least 1 second long. If you have to use it on a shorter time frame, you can draw only on those frames, then leave the rest blank..
