Description
Text Distortion Effects with ProText: Distortion in FCPX
Distort Text Using Source Footage
ProText: Distortion uses details in selected media to warp text by displacing it. Using the advanced controls included in this plugin, users can make text appear as if it is actually part of the scene as it warps in sync with the media. Bump Mapping, Refraction, Blurring, Texture and Lighting can all be linked to the source footage so that text appears to be fully immersed within the footage.
Insert a Title Layer or Apply as an Effect
Each preset in ProText: Distortion can be applied as either an effect or a title. Title presets can be placed on top of footage and can be manipulated with on-screen controls, camera panning and text animation options. Effect presets can be placed on any clip within the timeline and users can choose the source media by use of a drop zone. ProIntro, ProText, and ProFont plugins are all great examples of clips that users can apply effect presets too.
Advanced Control Settings
Title presets can be placed anywhere in 3D space within scenes using the on-screen controls. Intro and Outro Animations can be selected through a drop-down menu and camera panning and dollying can be edited using sliders. For both title and effect presets, users can edit the distortion under the Bump Mapping, Compound Blur, Refraction, Indent, Texture and Style Control tabs. Individual presets can contain a variety of exclusive and unique control setups.
Create Stunning Looks
The blend mode of the text can be manipulated to fit any look. Choose from selections that enhance color values, decrease them and many more. In select presets users can also adjust lighting and dimensions in the Indent and Texture Control tabs to create text that reflects the footage and pops off the screen. Any look can be created by making adjustments to the included controls in the inspector window.
Underwater Text Effects
The presets included in this package are divided into 3 main groups: basic distortion effects, stylized effects and liquid effects. The six unique liquid presets feature basic liquid, refraction, rippling reflection, twirling and two crystallizing effects. Users can choose from any of these selections to use brilliantly with underwater footage. Each preset can be customized endlessly in Final Cut Pro X to achieve the perfect look.
Includes Stylizing Effects
Users can add a variety of additional effects to the base media-warping by selecting one of the various presets. These effects include additional distortions like spherizing, earthquakes, glass distortion, wriggling, pinching and pushing. Alternatively, effects that make text appear to be sketched, spiky, dazzling, shot on old film, pixellated and many more are all available for users to play with.Final Cut Pro X – Apple
