Transitioning with TransRoll in Final Cut Pro X
Smooth Rolling Transitions
TransRoll is a set of smooth framing transitions created exclusively for use within Final Cut Pro X. Seamlessly transition between scenes using presets that vary in direction and movement amount. To use TransRoll, simply drag a preset and place it between two clips in the FCPX timeline.  Adjust the transition handles to adjust the duration of the transition.
Camera Controls in Final Cut Pro X
TransRoll features powerful camera controls that allow users to change the path of the framing animation. Easily add an X, Y, and or Z rotation to the camera path. Additionally, editors can alter the depth of the camera to show short and long-distance perspective. Lastly, this transition features an Angle of View slider that skews the camera’s perspective to create dynamic effects.
Spread & Roll Speed Controls
With TransRoll, video editors can easily manipulate the distance between pictures & media using the spread slider found under Transition Controls. With the roll speed slider, Final Cut users are able to adjust how fast the top and bottom pictures & media scroll through. To create a slow-moving look, increase the duration of the transition and bring down the roll speed slider. For a more dynamic look, simply bump the roll speed.
Frame to Any Direction
Pick and choose between presets that frame to any direction and pass up to 8 photos/scenes. Presets that frame past more photos should be stretched longer to avoid the feeling of a rushed transition. Conversely, presets that pass only 2 to 4 photos/scenes can be used for a shorter transition. Pixel Film Studios TransRoll is the perfect complement to any video production regardless of pace.Final Cut Pro X – Apple
