ProFreeze lets Final Cut Pro editors create dynamic freeze-frame effects instantly from any video or image source. To use ProFreeze Comic, simply move the playhead to the desired frame in the FCP timeline and use the command Option + F hold the frame in place. Place ProFreeze Comic above the held area and cut out the subject. ProFreeze will do the rest.

Comic Style Visuals

ProFreeze Comic allows users to create an amazing freeze-frame where the subject looks like it’s leaping straight out of a comic book. First, choose between presets with standard or comic bubble style text. Then, make changes to the graphics, colors, positions and more using a set of intuitive drop-down menus and slider controls.

Intuitive Camera Controls

FCP users may individually adjust the placement and angle of the foreground and background layers. After placing the layers, editors can control the amount of springiness, camera shake and the angle of view with a set of intuitive controls. The possibilities are limitless using ProFreeze Comic in Final Cut Pro.

Built-In Masking Tool

ProFreeze features a built-in masking tool to cut-out and highlight a character or object within a given scene. To use the masking tool, start by clicking around the subject and completing the mask. Double-click the line to add a point. Double-click a point to change its curvature. Command + double-click on a point to delete it. Refine any cut-out selection with ease using ProFreeze Comic in Final Cut Pro.

Im not seeing my subject Cut-Out, only my full shot. Did I miss a step?

Make sure you click back on the first mask point after setting the last mask point to close the mask shape. An indication of closing the mask shape is the mask points will change color and you will see your subject cut out and separated from the background.

Why doesn't Command + Click delete points?

When holding command make sure to double click on the point you want to delete.

ProFreeze Comic Troubleshooting

Why are my masking points not matching?

.

Why is this Happening:

The Pixel Film Studios Masking tool which is in ProFreeze is designed to work in a FCPX project set at a 1920x1080 resolution. If your project or video is not at a 1920 x 1080 resolution, the masking points will not match where you are clicking. Our developers are trying to figure out how to make it work at other resolutions.

What is the Solution:

To change your project to a 1920 x 1080 resolutions follow these instructions

1. With Final Cut open, choose window(Top left of screen).
2. Select project properties.
3. To the top right, you'll see your project resolution. Select modify.
4. On the "Video" option, select 1080p HD
